I am getting started in a home jewelry sales bus. and I am looking to set up booths in my area. I have been looking for a way to find festivals/craft shows/vendor events and especially church or hospital shows - is there a way to locate these shows online that anyone knows about? I found some sites that require paying to locate listings, don’t want to do that.
Also, does anyone know the licensing needed to do direct sales as a business, as an independent contractor?

I find a lot on craigslist. Look under faires, vendor events, go to city pages on the web and look at their calendar of events…go to a faire and make friends with other vendors who will share with you other events that they will be at.

As far as the other question, you need to contact your county. I wish you well with your new business. I love direct sales and my business is doing so well and I am right now working towards a FREE trip to Puerto Rico~~~

Hi, I’m thinking of selling Lia Sophia Jewelry, but my problem is that I don’t have any family members or friends to sell to. Okay a few might, but not all the time and I don’t think I can generate sales from them.

So can I still be successful I know and understand how to create a Marketing and Advertising Plan? I also know that networking is very important.

Also I’m worried about rather I’ll be able to successful with such a bad economy?

Yes, you can definately earn money in direct sales without selling to friends and family, provided you are with a company that has a plan in place. Your company should provide you with marketing tools, mentoring, webinars and coaching sessions. They should have a distinct blueprint that you follow and should be there to help you every step of the way. If this is not made clear by a company, I would not sign up with them. The other thing you need to consider is if they are global. I have 3 home businesses that are not affected by the economy at all. Certain areas are not doing well economically, but others are thriving so you tap into the good ones. If you have a product that can improve their existing business, help them with their health or just make their life easier, you are onto something and will do well.
In my businesses, an entire team works with you to help you reach your goals. That should be in place with Lia Sophia as well.
