i see MLM or multi-level marketing business as being almost like internet or online business. are they different?
mlm online business is a scam… they don’t make money by actually providing a service or product, they make money by other people signing up for the business, like a pyramid… and also require you to pay something in order to join, and that is a big-no-no…
where as an online business is an actual business that is based online and provides a service… such as a company that may sell coats online, or does resumes online, or background checks online…
if it is a mlm business i would almost certainly suggest to stay away, were as online business can be profitable if done properly. but you can’t just join an online business unless you are working for them

Hie this is Rahul from Mumbai.
I joined an MLM company 2 months before and have completed training of giving plan to customers and objection handling etc.
Till now I gave plan to 6 of my friends but none of them have shown any sing of joining with me.
I am so disappointed
So, I am asking to all MLM leaders and distributors to please give me some tips

MLM works and it works well in India. As long as you have a good prospecting tool (business overview video, magazine, etc), you can have success. The key is to let the tool do the talking initially. Your job is to just get the tool into a prospect’s hand and schedule a follow-up. The scheduled follow-up call is where you can assess their level of interest, explain the next steps, address any questions, and either get them started or point them to the next tool (if they are not yet ready).
Once you have this process down, you job is to get as many people as you can to view your tool. Get attached to the process, not the results. Talking to 6 people is not prospecting. You have to launch your business with an all out "major blast" where you contact everyone you know or have known and have them review your business tool. Make sure you schedule a specific follow-up time within 12-24 hours. Don’t prequalify or prejudge anyone, let them make a decision based on the information you give them. Most probably won’t do anything, but some will and those are the ones you spend your time with.
I promise you this works and it duplicates, even in India. As far as resources, a good free place to start is a generic training site such as Network Marketing Pro by Eric Worre. It has daily trainings that keep you motivated, inspired, and ready for business. Hope this helps.

I have to agree with a previous answer. This is probably not the best place to get information about how much it costs to start a MLM business. You would be better off starting to work on your actual business model. If you are at a loss as to how to start it, you might want to try contacting some people in the industry. A good place to start would be a place like Npros.com which has a list of the majority of MLM companies out there. Try to contact some people in a non competing industry and see if you can speak with them. You also will probably want to find a good attorney who deals with MLM companies specifically. You do not want just any lawyer, you need one who knows how this business operates.
