Actually I am considering getting into Amway’s MLM(Multi Level Marketing) business. Can anybody tell me, how is it? I mean is it scam or c an we really get rich by working as the Individual Business Owner. It will be appreciated if anyone who has done it or doing it, tell about their experience..
Thanks in advance

It’s not a scam but very few people actually make much money out of it. The products are nothing special and are a bit overpriced. There is a wealth of stuff on the internet about them.

I tried it a long time ago and never made much out of it.

I am looking for names of multi-level marketing businesses that have good products or maybe there is a website that rate these businesses and talk about the products that they are selling. Please give me some good info that is worth using.

The truth about MLM is that you can not make good money unless you are passionate about helping others succeed and you enjoy sharing the product or service you provide. Once you have decided on a product or service that you want to be a distributor of, you need to learn about and study what your target market is. Using the traditional methods taught by the network marketing businesses create success for the people at the top. This is why they teach people to reach their warm market. The simple fact is that if you are leading with the opportunity and you are not making lots of money you are doing it wrong. You have to lead with the product or service. People are looking for solutions. So if you have a great product that benefits others then share it. If people are looking to earn extra money and you try to provide a solution by presenting your biz opp but you aren’t successful then you aren’t helping them. You are only providing empty promises. I enjoy networking and finding others who want to do the same. Network marketing is great if you go about it the right way. I am in the Health and Wellness Industry. It is a great time to get involved in health and wellness if you enjoy it. I have learned a lot about my target market and how to approach my business through Ann Seig and The Renegade Network Marketer. I am providing a link as my source in network marketing. It is non bias to a specific company and touches on the proper way to build a business.

I heard about a lot of people making small extra cash using Multi-Level Marketing sites online. How does it work and is it worth it??

OK, so of course everyone on here is trying to get you to visit their sites and sign up with them right? Just make sure if you do multi-level marketing, it is something you are interested in. Because you could lose some money if you aren’t 100% into it. It also usually costs some money to start up.

Multi-level marketing is like a pyramid. One person tries to recruit people to place into a left leg and a right leg below them. Then they keep adding more and more people below. It is true, the people at the top will make the most money, because they tend get rewarded for having more people below them. But here’s the thing. If you actually work at it, and get people interested and working below you, you can start making money as well. The pyramid could go on and on…..so the more people you recruit, the more money you should make.

I actually do multi-level marketing. I recently did some research on this, and I have talked to a lot of people who have had successes and some people who hated it. I found that in order to be successful, you really need to be interested in what you are marketing. Currently I am a Beachbody coach, beacuse I love motivating people and I am trying to keep myself healthy and fit. It cost me 39.95 to start (which is cheaper than most MLM companies) and I know Beachbody does tons of marketing themselves (have you ever seen the p90x , slim in 6, insanity, etc. commercials? That’s Beachbody) and they are very well-known, which ups my chances of making sales or getting others interested. Anyway, if you are into being healthy and helping people, then check out the first website listed on my Yahoo Answers profile and click "Coach". It will tell you a lot more about it. You can also e-mail me with any questions.

If you do this business before please give some advise.

Well… First of all, MLMs / "Network Marketing" companies are not all pyramid schemes. Most people will tell you that they are, but that’s simply not true.

A pyramid scheme makes all or most of their money from recruiting people into their down-line while an MLM will make some money from their down-line, but will make a good portion of it from actually selling a product/service.

If you’re considering joining an MLM, you have to be ready to commit to it and know how to sell whatever their product is. If you don’t see any good reason why you would buy the product from the MLM vs. anywhere else, you shouldn’t bother wasting your time and money on it.

I work in a direct marketing company that sells sales leads. I’ve seen plenty of people involved in one MLM or another come to us and put out hundreds of dollars on leads in hopes that it’ll pay off. It does for some, but it doesn’t for most. I recently graduated and I remember a lot of guys and gals that got involved in MLMs out of pure desperation. They had no clue what they were doing and failed miserably. What’s worse is they always end up spending what little money they have on the sign up, training and whatever marketing tools they push.

A friend of mine just got involved in an MLM this week. He reached out to me to hook him up with some leads. He found an MLM he likes with a product that he likes and can sell. He’s working on putting up a site at http://www.joecassano.net/ . He’s planning on blogging about the whole thing. He also has a full-time job and is doing this on the side - which is one of the best ways to go… Not as much pressure to succeed. Under too much pressure, people tend to get a little irrational…

In a nutshell, my advice to you is if you’re planning on jumping down the good old MLM rabbit hole, make sure you do you’re research and find one that you know you’ll like. Make sure they have a real needed/wanted product that you can sell and not just rely on recruiting people. Make sure that they have a support program that won’t cost you an arm and a leg. The hardest part is getting started. Once you get the ball rolling, you should be fine.

Lastly, one of the best ways to succeed in an MLM is to learn how to sell you’re product and when you recruit people into your down-line, train and support them to succeed too. When they’re in your down-line, their success is your success. If you start to just recruit people to make your "recruitment commission" then just leave them high and dry until they quit, you’re going to run out of people to recruit and fast. When you recruit someone, treat them as your apprentice. Then watch them flourish and reap the benefits!

I’m interested in the concepts of mlm and I really like to help people. Is there any way I can do both?

I’ve heard of one. It’s called the Angel Gift Network. I guess they’re getting ready to do "beta launch" which I guess is like a pre launch where you don’t have to pay for awhile. Anyway, if you google "angel gift network" you should find a page full. They’ve got an information page at www.angelgiftnetwork.com and charities can sign up at www.angelgiftnetwork.org.

Why can’t they sell their products through normal retail like most other cosmetic brands? like, selling them in Sephora and in department stores or having their own boutiques like the Body Shop and MAC?

And what happens if some one wants to buy Avon or Mary Kay’s products? Where can people buy these products other than ordering online?

Multilevel marketing (MLM), or network marketing, is a system of direct selling that relies on networks of independent distributors, usually private individuals, to reach customers by word-of-mouth. Besides eliminating costs associated with middlemen, network marketing reduces advertising and promotion expenses and, in theory, passes savings to the independent distributors and customers.

Not sure about Mary Kay but there are Avon Independent Sales Reps around the US who have kiosks in malls or stand-alone stores.

You can locate a local representative online by going to avon.com or purchase from any Avon Independent Sales Rep online.
